My Call Into Ministry
by Ann Robinson-Worley
After the Lord taught me many lessons in the bible and I was growing up fast in my knowledge of His Word He called me to preach, teach and Prophesy to his people.
He did this by waking me up in the middle of the night and all I could hear were screams of millions of people at the top of their lungs in agony and pain. I jumped out of my bed and got down on my knees weeping and putting my hands on my ears telling the Lord to make the screams stop and yet they continued and I knelt there begging the Lord to make them stop with tears coming down my face.
The screams continued so finally I said ok Lord I will go where you want me to go, I till do what you want me to do, I will say what you want me to say but just make the screams stop! Instantly, the screams stopped and the Lord spoke," I'm calling you to preach, teach and prophesy to my people!" I said, "But Lord I am a woman and they will never listen to me!"
He spoke," These were the screams of the souls that I will allow you to reach and rescue from the flames of hell."
Many people hear the call of God which comes through His revelation of Himself but only the "few" will respond because they are the ones who are truly hearing. Jesus said many times,“He who has ears to hear, let him hear” (Matthew 11:15; Mark 4:9; Luke 8:8, 14:35). Everyone has ears, but only a few are listening and responding. If you are called to fulfill His purpose He will give you Spiritual ears to hear what you need to be hearing when you need to hear it so that you can respond by obeying Him so that souls can be reached and rescued out of darkness into the Kingdom of His light.
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified. Romans 8:28-30
How will you know that you have ears to hear ? You will be responding to the voice of God and you will see the evidence of God working in and through your life. Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:12-13
